California Firefighters Memorial

Sacramento, California

The California Firefighter’s Memorial project involves a meaningful expansion to the existing memorial in Capital Park which honors more than 1,500 firefighters who have died in the line of duty since 1850. The project expands the wall space where fallen firefighter’s names are etched, while also paying tribute to them with monuments and statues spread through a mesmerizing hardscape and landscape within Capital Park in Sacramento. The project opened to the public on the weekend of October 11th with a ceremony and family recession honoring the 36 fire fighters that lost their lives in the last year fighting California wildfires.
