Description of Project:
Broad Contemporary Art Museum (BCAM) consisting of 60,000 sq. ft. of gallery space and a new BP Grand Entrance that will house art installations and ticketing. Landscaped piazzas along Wilshire and 6th Street serve as an entrance to the renovation.

Thicknesses:
4", 6" and 8" to support pedestrian and vehicular paving. Plaza level and 2nd & 3rd floor spider walkways.

Details of Project:
Trademark Concrete Systems, Inc. was the specified decorative concrete contractor for this widely acclaimed project designed by the renowned museum architect Renzo Piano. The concrete is uncolored with a fine sand finish achieved by the use of a specialty surface retarder. Decorative sawcutting in a pattern reflecting the grid design of the project was used to achieve a visual coherence.
